1. What information does SHEHNAI.IN collect/track about me?
SHEHNAI.IN is an advertising platform providing targeted advertising services for matrimonial alliance. In order to provide the services, we ask for certain personal information which is displayed on the site. Of course, all SHEHNAI.IN visitors may browse the site, search member profiles and view any articles or features our site has to offer without entering any personal information.
SHEHNAI.IN gathers two types of information: information users submit, and information not directly submitted.
Public information may be displayed on the site at the behest of the member, such as gender, age, height, telephone number, photograph, religion, income range, profession, preference/lifestyle information, general geographic location, and horoscope.
Private information includes email address, first name, last name, payment information, a user-specified password, mailing address, zip code and telephone number - collected from members and guests who apply for the various services our site offers.
SHEHNAI.IN also allows members to submit public and private information on behalf of others - a child/ward, sibling or friend. If such person does not wish this information to be displayed, they may request removal after providing evidence that the information pertains to them.
Satisfied users of SHEHNAI.IN have chosen to post testimonials on our web site; all permissions have been obtained to post these testimonials. We also collect aggregate, non-personally identifiable information such as browser type and IP address from all visitors to the site.
2. What does SHEHNAI.IN do with the information it collects?
Public information supplied by members is an advertisement intended to be viewed by visitors to the site for searching and matching purposes, and cannot be used to identify a specific member by address, etc. Members can choose whether to display their telephone number to premium members only, and can change this preference at any time from My Contact Details.
We primarily use a member's email address to verify enrollment and to send system emails on behalf of other members. Email addresses are never disclosed to other members. Financial information collected is used solely to bill the user for products and services.
You can update or delete most private information at any time by logging into your account and visiting My Profile or My Account. Some information, such as date of birth, can only be changed on request via Help > Write to Customer Relations.
3. With whom does SHEHNAI.IN share the information it collects?
Except where expressly informed on the site or described in this privacy policy, we do not sell, rent, share, trade or give away any of your personal information.
